PENGGUNAAN BAKTERI PROBIOTIK PADA PENGANGKUTAN BENIH IKAN NILA (Oreochromis niloticus)

Abstract


The purpose of research is to know the probiotic bacteria amount used to carry the seed of Nila fish sized 3-5 cm as many as 400 classifiers in one plastic bowl. The research was held in Laboratory of Cultivation Technology and Fishery Business, Djuanda University of Bogor at 29th of July 2010 until 11st of August 2010. The material used in this research is probiotic bacteria (EM4) mixed by media 5 liters in one plastic with the density of fish seed as many as 400 classifiers sized about 3-5 cm. The plan used in this research is complete random plan with 4 treatments and 3 repeatables. The treatment given is using probiotic bacteria (EM4) with 0 ml dose, 5 ml, 10 ml and 15 ml. The parameter inspected in this research is survival rate after carrying process, survivability rate of fish seed after kept as long as 5 days, and water quality. The product of this research showed that survivability rate after carrying process and the fish kept in aquarium showed significant effects (P<0.05). The highest survivability rate in 5 ml treatments as big as 95.17%, while the highest survivability rate after kept as long as 5 days in aquarium also in 5 ml treatments as big as 95.09%. The continued experiment, survivability rate after carrying process, treatment 5 ml is different with treatment 0.10 and 15 ml. Treatment 10 ml is not different with treatment 15 ml, but treatment 10 ml and 15 ml is different with treatment 0 ml. While survivability rate kept as long as 5 days in aquarium, treatment 5 ml is not different with treatment 10 ml and 15 ml, but different treatment 0 ml. Treatment 10 ml is not different with treatment 15 ml, but different with treatment 0 ml. Treatment 15 ml is not different with treatment 0 ml. Using probiotic bacteria (EM4) with 5 ml doses in optimum dose for carrying process of nila fish seed sized 3-5 cm.
