Land Direction of Ecotourism Object Development in Panusupan Village, Rembang District, Purbalingga District

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the potential, distribution, and direction of development of eco-tourism
attractions in Panusupan Tourism Village Village in District of Rembang, Purbalingga. Observation guidelines
were used as data collecting technique. The collected data consisted of data from field observations and
monograph. Data from field observations were in the form of environmental conditions, the diversity of the
attractions, unique tourism object, the availability of transportation modes, easy acces, availability of facilities,
and promotion. Monograph data were in the form of the number of tourists, covarage area of tourist utilization,
and availability of human resources of management institutions. Data processing techniques were used to
analyze the data obtained during the research. The result of this study indicated that the tourism potential in the
development of eco-tourism attractions in Panusupan Tourism Village, District of Rembang, Purbalingga
included in the criteria of sufficient potential with the value of 27 obtained from 12 elements, i.e the two
elements of the lowest value, which were availability of transportation modes and easy access. Five elements of
intermediate values, namely the diversity of the attractions, the number of tourist, wide range coverage of
travelers utilization, completeness of supporting facilities, and the availability of human resources of
management institutions. In addition, the five element of highest value, namely environmental conditions,
unique attractions, the availability of facilities and the infrastructure viewed from the condition, availability of
hotel or inn, and promotions.
