Abstract

A healthy generation needs to be prepared from good pregnancy planning during adolescence and preconception. Proper and planned preparation, especially preconception screening, needs to be done in an effort to prevent the occurrence of birth defects. The high anxiety of pregnant women about birth defects in the fetus indicates that preconception screening has not been carried out due to lack of knowledge about it. If this is left unchecked, it can increase the risk of birth of babies with congenital abnormalities due to not being well prepared for pregnancy by not carrying out screening during the preconception period. Adolescents as prospective parents need to know early about the implementation of preconception screening, especially early anemia screening. The reproductive health education program currently does not cover this, especially for adolescents. Health education about preconception anemia screening is an alternative solution to the problem that can provide education about preconception preparation to prepare for a healthy pregnancy. The service method is health education about preconception anemia screening through group education, distribution of posters and booklets about anemia, training and hemoglobin examination. The results of the activity are that this activity provides benefits and knowledge to adolescents. It is hoped that increased knowledge and Hb monitoring will continue to be carried out from adolescence to create healthy adolescents and pregnancies free from anemia.
