Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan unjuk kerja dari inverter jenis pure sine wave (PSW) dan non pure sine wave (non PSW). Agar dapat dibandingkan dibuatlah kedua jenis inverter ini, inverter PSW dibangun berbasis modul EGS002 sedangkan inverter non PSW dibangun dengan prinsip penskalaran berbasis IC 4047. Sumber baterai dan kapasitas transformator yang digunakan sama kapasitasnya. Pengujian inverter meliputi uji beban resistif, beban induktif dan kapasitif. Berdasarakan pengujian inverter non PSW cocok untuk beban resistif daya besar sedangkan inverter PSW cocok untuk beban resistif berdaya kecil. Inverter PSW mempunyai kualitas yang lebih bagus dari dari inverter non PSW pada bentuk gelombang dan THD, sehingga beban induktif lebih cocok menggunakan inverter jenis PSW.
