Desain Antena Microstrip MIMO 2x2 dengan Defected Ground Structure (DGS) untuk Implementasi Teknologi 5G pada Frekuensi 26 GHz

Saat ini, teknologi komunikasi nirkabel telah mencapai generasi kelima, yang dikenal sebagai teknologi telekomunikasi 5G. Teknologi 5G telah mulai diterapkan di Indonesia, meskipun belum sepenuhnya menjangkau seluruh wilayah. Salah satu keunggulan teknologi 5G adalah kemampuannya untuk menyediakan kapasitas besar bagi pengguna, namun kelemahannya terletak pada cakupan area yang terbatas. Penelitian ini berfokus pada perancangan antena untuk implementasi teknologi 5G dengan frekuensi kerja 26 GHz, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan jangkauan sinyal dan memperluas cakupan dibandingkan antena 5G konvensional. Antena yang dirancang adalah antena microstrip dengan bentuk patch persegi (patch square), disusun dalam konfigurasi array Multi Input-Multi Output (MIMO) 2x2 menggunakan metode Defected Ground Structure (DGS). Desain ini juga mencakup penambahan metode U-Slot dan inset feed pada patch antena, menghasilkan dimensi akhir sebesar 33,77 mm x 7,63 mm. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa pada frekuensi kerja 26 GHz, antena ini memiliki nilai return loss (S11) sebesar -11,079 dB, VSWR 1,775, bandwidth 125 MHz, dan gain 5,725 dBi. Selain itu, desain antena ini menghasilkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,070377, nilai mutual coupling -50,477 dB, dan pola radiasi unidirectional.
