Memerangi Pembelotan: Mengungkap Dampak Kebijakan Pertahanan terhadap Tingkat Tentara Desertir di Zona Tempur

Studi ini mengkaji dampak kebijakan pertahanan terhadap tingkat desertir tentara di zona pertempuran, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor kunci dan mengevaluasi efektivitasnya dalam mengurangi desersi. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kebijakan pertahanan berdampak signifikan terhadap moral, kohesi, dan komitmen prajurit terhadap misi. Faktor-faktor utama kebijakan pertahanan yang berkontribusi terhadap desersi prajurit mencakup inisiatif kesejahteraan personel, praktik kepemimpinan, tindakan disipliner, dan protokol komunikasi. Meskipun beberapa kebijakan pertahanan memprioritaskan kesejahteraan personel dan kepemimpinan yang efektif, kebijakan-kebijakan lainnya mungkin kurang memiliki kejelasan atau mekanisme penegakan hukum, sehingga menyebabkan peningkatan tingkat desersi. Efektivitas kebijakan pertahanan saat ini dalam mengurangi desersi tentara bervariasi antar organisasi militer dan konteks operasional. Rekomendasi untuk memperbaiki kebijakan pertahanan mencakup penguatan inisiatif kesejahteraan personel, peningkatan program pengembangan kepemimpinan, dan peninjauan tindakan disipliner. Secara keseluruhan, studi ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya kebijakan pertahanan komprehensif dalam mendukung tentara dan mengurangi tingkat desersi di zona pertempuran.
