Abstract

Student engagement merupakan salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi akademik pelajar, namun banyak perdebatan mengenai defenisi operasional dan dimensionalitas dari konstruk ini. Penelitian ini bermaksud menguji secara psikometris konstruk ini. Sebanyak 596 pelajar di Indonesia berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini yang teridiri dari siswa SMP, SMA, dan mahasiswa S1. Pengambilan data dilakukan secara online dengan menggunakan alat ukur  student engagement scale (SES) versi bahasa Indonesia adaptasi dari versi SES Reeve & Itseng berisi 22 item. Hasil uji properti psikometrik skala ini didapatkan bahwa koefesien reliabilitas Cronbach alfa sebesar 0,927. Analisis validitas isi dengan Forward-Backward translasion oleh ahli bahasa dan dengan penilaian panel ahli. Analisis validitas konstruk dengan analisis faktor menemukan bahwa SES versi bahasa Indonesia memiliki model fit 4 faktor. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa SES versi bahasa Indonesia memiliki struktur model yang identik dengan struktur model SES versi aslinya.
