Psychological Well-Being Mahasiswa Rantau: Peran Resilience dan Optimisme

Pada tahun pertama, mahasiswa rantau akan dihadapkan dengan situasi-situasi dan tuntutan baru yang dapat memicu stress. Untuk menghadapai tuntutan dan situasi tersebut maka diharapkan memiliki psychological well-being agar tidak mehambat dalam proses perkuliahan. Faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi psychological well-being diantaranya adalah Resilience dan Optimisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif yang melibatkan 100 orang mahasiswa rantau dengan usia antara 17 – 24 tahun dengan jenis kelamin perempuan berjumlah 67 orang dan pria 33 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling. Analisis regresi linear berganda digunakan sebagai uji hipotesis yang hasilnya menyatakan terdapat pengaruh resilience dan optimisme terhadap psychological well-being pada mahasiswa rantau, dengan kata lain hipotesis diterima. Hasil analisis data melalui program SPSS 22 for windows yang menunjukkan nilai dari signifikansi pada variabel resilience dan optimisme terhadap psychological well-being yakni sebesar (p=0.000<0.005) Maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa resilience dan optimisme secara signifikan memprediksi psychological well-being.
