HUBUNGAN ANTARA KETERBUKAAN DIRI DENGAN PENYESUAIAN PERKAWINAN PADA PASANGAN SUAMI ISTRI YANG TINGGAL TERPISAH

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara keterbukaan diri dengan penyesuaian perkawinan pada pasangan suami istri yang tinggal terpisah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pasangan suami istri yang tinggal berjauhan dengan rentang usia 24-58 tahun, total subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah 80 pasangan suami istri yang terdiri dari 40 orang wanita (istri) dan 40 orang pria (suami). Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan dua skala penelitian yaitu skala penyesuaian diri dan skala keterbukaan diri yang dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasi product moment dari Pearson yang diolah dengan menggunakan fasilitas komputer program SPSS 11.5 for windows. Berdasarkan hipotesis yang diajukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa baik pada istri ataupun suami, keterbukaan diri memiliki korelasi yang kuat dengan penyesuaian perkawinan. Pada suami, antara keterbukaan diri dengan penyesuaian perkawinan menunjukkan korelasi yang kuat dengan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,266 dengan nilai p = 0,048 atau p<0.05. Sementara pada istri, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyesuaian perkawinan memiliki hubungan yang sangat signifikan dengan keterbukaan diri dengan koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,478 dengan nilai p = 0,00 atau p<0,01.
