COPING SEBAGAI PREDIKTOR KESEJAHTERAAN PSIKOLOGIS : STUDI META ANALISIS

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk melihat keterkaitan strategi coping dengan kesejahteraan psikologis. Meta analisis terhadap 20 studi primer dengan 5808 subjek menunjukkan bahwa coping berkorelasi positif dengan kesejahteraan psikologis (r^=0.280). Perbedaan variasi korelasi dapat disebabkan antara lain oleh kesalahan pengambilan sampel sebesar 13.15% dan kesalahan pengukuran variabel bebas maupun tergantung sebesar 0.019%. persentase yang kecil ini mengindikasikan kemungkinan bias karena keekliruan pada pengambilan sampel maupun pengukuran sangat kecil. Meskipun strategi coping yang digunakan dalam menghadapi berbagai persoalan maupun kejadian dalam hidup sangat bervariatif namun secara umum hasil meta analisis menunjukkan bahwa coping memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kesejahteraan psikologis. Artinya semakin baik seseorang menggunakan coping dalam menghadapi persoalan maka semakin baik pula kesejahteraan psikologisnya, demikian sebaliknya.References
