Implementasi Perangkat Lunak Penjaminan Mutu Menggunakan Metode Rapid Application Development ( RAD )

Menjaga kualitas terbaik perguruan tinggi merupakan pekerjaan yang berat penjaminan mutu karena harus mengintegrasikan seluruh kualitas komponen dan dokumen. Sistem penjaminan mutu konvensional membutuhkan banyak SDM, lambat dan dokumen tidak terpadu. Solusi optimasi sistem penjaminan mutu adalah sistem informasi penjaminan mutu berbasis teknologi informasi yang memudahkan, realtime dan terpadu. Membangun sistem informasi penjaminan mutu membutuhkan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak yang tepat supaya sistem berjalan sesuai kebutuhan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan proses pengembangan sistem informasi penjaminan mutu supaya proses pelaksanaannya lebih cepat, terarah, efektif dan efisien. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode RAD dimana Metode RAD merupakan salah satu metode pengembangan perangkat lunak yang banyak digunakan pengembang perangkat lunak skala kecil dimana menggunakan pendekatan berorientasi obyek. Metode RAD terdiri requirements planning phase, RAD design workshop dan implementation phase.
Metode RAD sangat efektif dalam optimalisasi kerja tim kecil dengan kemampuan SDM yang harus kompeten dibidangnya. Dengan metode ini pengembangan sistem informasi penjaminan mutu dapat diperkirakan selesai dalam kurun waktu lebih pendek.References
