Author Guidelines

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Articles are original works and have never been published or are being submitted to other scientific journals or books.

2. The article is accompanied by a statement of authenticity from the author stating that the article written is truly his own work and does not contain plagiarism.

3. Articles are submitted via http://jurnalnasional.ump.ac.id/index.php/ALHAMRA/index in the form of document files (Microsoft Word, RTF) according to the journal template Alhamra: Journal of Islamic Studies. Other matters can be asked directly by the journal manager. Editor (Phone/WA: 081315585710).

4. Each article will be selected and assessed by the editing team by involving relevant experts in their field, and then the author will receive information about the status of the article: accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected. The decision of the editorial team cannot be contested.

5. For authors whose articles have been declared accepted and have submitted their revised results, can wait according to the journal's publication schedule.

 

WRITING TERMS:

1. The article consists of 4000-8000 words, typed with 1.15 spacing on A4 size paper (21 cm x 29.7 cm) with the font Cambria (Latin) and or Times New Arabic (for words from Arabic), and Sakkal Majalla (Arabic) font with font size 13 (title), 10 (abstract) and 11 (content). Specifically for Arabic text, the font size is 14 (fill).

2. The systematics of writing articles is as follows:

a. Title, written briefly and, a maximum of 15 words, expresses the main idea of the article

b. Author's name (without academic degree) by marking the name of the correspondence author, the name of the author's institution (not abbreviated, put a comma between the name of the faculty and university), and the correspondence e-mail;

c. Abstracts are written in two languages, namely Indonesian (150-200 words) and English (200-250 words). The abstract summarizes clearly and briefly: (1) a brief background (if there are just one or two sentences written); (2) Research objectives and/or scope; (3) the Method (brief) used; (4) a Summary of results/findings; (5) Conclusion;

d. Keywords, between 3-5 words/concepts;

e. The introduction (about 2-3 pages) must describe in a sequential, interesting, and in-depth manner the general background of the study (maximum one paragraph, problem formulation, research objectives, and scope related to the problem under study).

The author also mentions 1) State art (literature review studies or previous studies that have been published in journals in the last 10 years, written briefly) to justify statements of the novelty or significance, or originality of the article; 2) Gap analysis or originality statement or novelty contribution or the unique difference of this research compared to previous studies, as well as whether or not the research is important. If it requires writing or relates it to general concepts/theories/definitions, write it directly in the Discussion;

f. Research Methods, describes the methods used to solve problems, including the types of research used, research objects, data collection techniques, and data analysis.

g. Results and Discussion, consisting of subtitles (according to the purposes of the discussion). Explain 1) findings (what/how) data that have been processed in the form of explanations, tables, and pictures (choose one) that are easy to understand and the findings or findings; 2) (why) there are results obtained by explaining real and clear facts; and 3) (what else) is there conformity or conflict with the results of other people's research? Can also write about the implications of research results both theoretical and application. The table is written with the following design;

h. Conclusion, in the form of answers to the objectives and problems that exist in the research (article) in the form of paragraphs that are written firmly and honestly, and can be added with the implications or suggestions of the author (if any); and

i. Reference List (only contains referenced sources).

3. Reference and citation use the in-note technique (in-text citation) using the American Psychological Association 6th Edition (APA) style. Referenced sources, for example, the book by Al-Qattan, are written: Al-Qattan (2012, 90) for “direct quotation” (specifies year and page number) and Al-Qattan (2012) for “indirect quotation” (specifies year just).

4. The number of reference lists consists of at least 15 journal references (only those cited) and 5 book references, and it is not recommended to use references from blogs, Wikipedia, and others that are not peer-reviewed.

5. Authors must use reference management applications (Mendeley, Zotero, and EndNote).

Every foreign language and regional language, apart from the names of people and places, as well as those which have not been absorbed or recorded in Indonesian, is written in italics; specifically, Arabic words are written in italic with the Time New Arabic font and follow the transliteration guidelines.

The bibliography of references is written in alphabetical order, and the last name of the author is placed in front as in the following example:

6. Transliteration Guidelines. The provisions for transliteration (transliteration from Arabic to Latin) used in the Alhamra follow the Latin-Arabic Transliteration Guidelines as a result of a joint decision (SKB) of the Minister of Religion and the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. Number: 158 of 1987 and Number: 0543b/U/1987, namely as follows:

Hamzah ( ء ) which is located at the beginning of a word follows the vowel without being marked. If it is in the middle or at the end, it is written with an apostrophe (').

The term Islamic (shariah) is written following the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI).

  6. Each article will be selected and assessed by the editing team by involving relevant experts in their field, and then the author will receive information about the status of the article: accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected. The decision of the editorial team cannot be contested.
    Authors whose articles are declared accepted and have submitted their revised results, can wait according to the journal's publication schedule.
