1. General Terms
Herb-Medicine Journal publishes original manuscripts in the form of research results and case studies related to herbs, medicine, and health that have never been seen before.
Journal of Herbal Medicine accepts articles covering all scientific aspects of herbs, medicine and health. All submitted manuscripts must not be visited beforehand and are not under consideration for visiting elsewhere. Papers can be from any country but must be written in Indonesian or English. Manuscripts may be submitted as reviews and research articles. There is a publication fee for this journal.
All submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed. All submissions must be accompanied by an abstract of the author's manuscript on a related subject under publication or in an editorial. Electronic reprints of related papers published by authors or manuscripts in the media can also help reviewers.
2. How to Submit Articles
Authors are required to submit manuscripts electronically using the online journal system via https://jurnalnasional.ump.ac.id/index.php/HMJ/index
3. Requirements for Each Type of Manuscript
Case Study / Case Report
Case reports: are articles that discuss interesting or rare cases and their management. The systematics of case report articles are: title, abstract and keywords in Indonesian and English, introduction, case illustration, discussion, conclusion, bibliography.
Research Articles
Research article is no more than 3,500 words, excluding words in abstract, references, tables, figures, and image legends. Manuscripts must have no more than six figures and/or table totals and no more than 40 references.
Articles are typed in word processing application format (example: *.doc only), using Indonesian or English. Articles are written using Times New Roman font size 10 points, two spaces on one side of the paper not larger than ISO A4 (210—297 mm) and the paper must be numbered consecutively. The first page must contain the author's name, the name and address of the institution, in addition to the title of the paper. The full address of the primary author to whom the proof of submission/acceptance/rejection will be submitted must be provided as a footnote. Correspondence should also include an e-mail address. The title of the article should be short, no more than 45 characters. All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by the editor and rejected manuscripts will not be returned. Ethical aspects will be considered in the assessment of the article.
The Herb-Medicine Journal considers the manuscript to be prepared according to the guidelines established by the International Committee for Editors of Medical Journals (www.icmje.org/index.html), as follows:
4. Abstract
Abstract of no more than 300 words (for Case Studies) or 250 words (for Research Articles). A structured abstract must be followed in writing in any type of Article.
Abstract written in Indonesian and English
To ensure the use of English is good and correct, the author must include a license/certificate/certificate from a reputable English translation agency. HMJ recommends using LDC UMP

6. Unit of Measurement
Authors may express all measurements in Conventional System or International System (SI) units.
Drug names must use generic names. When an exclusive brand is used in research, include the brand name, name and location (city & country) of the manufacturer in brackets after the first mention of the generic name.

Authors who publish in the Herb-Medicine Journal certify that all authors have read and agree to the contents of the Cover Letter or the Terms and Conditions. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, and by submitting a manuscript for publication, the author agrees that the publisher has the legal right to take appropriate action against the author, if plagiarism or false information is found. Once submitted to the Herb-Medicine Journal, authors will not withdraw their manuscript at any stage prior to publication.
The author owns the copyright and grants the journal rights for first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License which allows others to share the work with acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
Authors may enter into separate additional contractual agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published journal version of the work (for example, posting it to an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), with acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
