Penggunaan Media Robot Edukasi dalam Pembelajaran STEM Bagi Guru Sekolah Dasar di Kota Semarang

Abstract


ABSTRAK

STEM (Sains, Teknologi, Teknik, dan Matematika) merupakan metode pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kapasitas dan orientasi karir siswa dengan mengintegrasikan pengetahuan dari berbagai disiplin ilmu. Pembelajaran STEM telah menjadi fokus penting dalam dunia pendidikan untuk mempersiapkan siswa dengan keterampilan yang diperlukan di era teknologi modern. Guru-guru sekolah dasar memiliki peran utama dalam membentuk dasar pemahaman STEM siswa. Melalui pelatihan intensif, demonstrasi, dan pendampingan, guru-guru sekolah dasar di Kota Semarang khususnya Yayasan Samudra Ilmu diberikan pengetahuan STEM dan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk mengintegrasikan media robot edukasi dalam kurikulum STEM mereka. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga mendorong kolaborasi antar-guru dalam mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan efektif. Penggunaan media robot edukasi juga membantu memperkenalkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, meningkatkan keterampilan digital guru dan siswa. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, para guru mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang konsep STEM dan mereka antusias dalam menerapkan pembelajaran STEM ini pada peserta didik. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil kuesioner evaluasi yang diberikan setelah kegiatan. Pembelajaran STEM ini memainkan peran penting dalam memajukan pendidikan di wilayah ini, menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang dinamis dan relevan dengan tuntutan zaman.

ABSTRACT

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is a learning method that aims to develop students’ capacity and career orientation by integrating knowledge from various scientific disciplines. STEM learning has become essential to prepare students with the skills needed in the modern technological era. Elementary school teachers have a significant role in forming the basis of students’ STEM understanding. Through intensive training, demonstrations, and mentoring, elementary school teachers in Semarang City, especially the Samudra Ilmu Foundation, are given the STEM knowledge and skills needed to integrate educational robot media into their STEM curriculum. This activity also encourages teacher collaboration in developing more innovative and effective learning strategies. The use of educational robot media also helps introduce technology in learning, improving the digital skills of teachers and students. As a result of this activity, the teachers gained knowledge about STEM concepts and were enthusiastic to implement STEM learning with students. It is proven by the results of the evaluation questionnaire given after the activity. STEM learning plays an essential role in advancing education in this region, creating a learning environment that is dynamic and relevant to the demands of the times.
