Abstract

Waste management is a problem that is difficult to overcome today. The lack of awareness in sorting waste makes waste management very difficult. In addition, good waste management is critical to prevent its negative impact on the environment and human health.  This community service aims to socialize the importance of healthy living by disposing of waste in its place. Besides that, this service also associates using renewable energy to support the solar panel-based automatic trash can system. The method used is community education, carried out in three stages: location surveys, application of appropriate technology, and socialization. Finally, the applied technology, namely trash bins based on renewable energy technology, can be operated properly, and the surrounding community knows about the adverse effects of littering.
