PENGARUH METODE PENGERINGAN TERHADAP KADAR ANTOSIAN PADA KELOPAK BUNGA ROSELA (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.)

ABSTRAK Simplisia rosella merupakan salah satu simplisia dari tanaman yang berkhasiat sebagai anti hipertensi dan senyawa yang berperan adalah antosianin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah metode pengeringan kelopak bunga rosella (Calyx Hiriscus sabdariffa L) dapat mempengaruhi kadar antosianin. Metode pengeringan yang digunakan adalah dengan sinar matahari langsung, ditutup kain hitam dan oven. Ekstraksi kelopak bunga rosella menggunakan metode maserasi dan uji kadar antosianin ekstrak kelopak bunga rosella menggunakan metode KLT densitometry. Hasil yang diperoleh dari data KLT densitometry adalah kadar total antosianin pada pengerinagn sinar matahari langsung 6,25 g antosianin, pengeringan dengan ditutup kain hitam 4,7553 g antosianin dan pengeringan oven 5,916 g antosianin. Tes anava menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan bermakna pada kandungan antosianin dengan menggunakan metode pengeringan yang berbeda. Kata kunci: Calyx Hibiscus Sabdariffa L, antosianin, KLT densitometry ABSTRACT Rosela herbs is active as anti hypertention and the compound responsible for this activity is antosianin. This research is aimed to know whether the method of drying rosella calyx can influence the content of antosianin. Methods of drying use in this research were by direct sunlight, undirect sunlight and oven. The used extraction method was maseration and the antosianin content was determined by TLC densitometry method. The result of TLC densitometry data showed that the content of total antosianin rosella calyx by direct sunlight drying was about 6.25 g antosianin, by undirect sunlight was 4.7553 g antosianin and by oven was 5.916 g antosianin.
