Kata kunci: PVP, Bahan pengikat, Tablet, Asam mefenamat ABSTRACT The aim of this research was to study affect addition method of polyvinyl pyrollidon (PVP) as binder on the physical characteristic mefenamic acid tablets. Tablets were made by wet granulation in six formulation based on different addition method and concentration. F1, F2, F3 contain 5%, 10%, 15% PVP in dry form. F4,F5, F6 contain 5%, 10%, 15% which were added in solution. The produced tablets were tested for physical characteristic such as fluidity of granule, uniformity of weight, tablet hardness, friability and disintegration time. The result of annova and Duncan test showed that addition method of PVP as binder difference significancy on physical characteristic of mefenamic acid tablets. PVP more effective as binder in solution rather than in dry form. Keywords: PVP, Binder, Tablets, Mefenamic acids.References
