Kata kunci : Daun cengkeh (Syzygium aromaticum (L) Merr & Perry), Kromatografi Gas Spektroskopi Massa (KGSM) ABSTRACT Clove oil is produced by instrument to refine clove leaf and clove stem in the areas that many clove’s trees. Same with clove leaf, the clove leaf (Syzygium aromaticum (L) Merr & Perry) has main component is eugenol. Eugenol degree can attain 70 – 90 % from clove oil until dominate the characteristic of oil clove. Clove leaf which is distilled can got from the leaf fall that take in up land Desa Banjarsari wetan (800-900 mdpl) and low land Desa Pringtali Kebarongan (200-300 mdpl) . The aim of this research to know the compare eugenol degree in the clove leaf in the up land trees and low land. In this research used instrument to refine distillation vapor and water. The result of distillated which is got analyzed in using Chromatography Gas Spectroscopy Mass (GCMS). The result show that eugenol degree in the clove leaf that grown place in the up land 0,76% and 0,69% low land which is seen in one top dominant at chromatogram. Based on t test can concluded that eugenol degree in the clove leaf that grown place in the up land and low land are not significant deference.
