Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the gotong royong that appears in the learning process of class V students at SDN Lamper Lor in the learning process using a problem-based learning model. (2) describe student activities that show gotong royong in the learning process using a problem-based learning model. The research model uses qualitative descriptive. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using data analysis techniques. Data from observations of the character of cooperation were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques, while the results of observations of student activities were analyzed using a percentage formula. The subjects in this research were 27 class V students at SDN Lamper Lor. The results of research on the character of student cooperation in observing student activities showed very good results. The initial questionnaire results showed that students had an average percentage of 77.315%, then after implementing the PBL model for 4 days, the final questionnaire results showed that students had an average percentage of 82.754%. The observation sheet in the form of an assessment rubric which is filled out every day by the class teacher also shows an increase in the cooperative character of students. From these results it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective in improving the collaborative character of class V students at SDN Lamper Lor. Before learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, some students seemed to dominate in the group, refusing to accept suggestions or opinions from their group friends, while others were passive in group activities, after learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. students are more active in group activities, problem solving is done together and with full responsibility, apart from that they also respect each other's opinions.
