Abstract

This research aims to analyze the P5 Program as an implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the context of the use of performance-based evaluation carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Batang. The case study method was used to collect information related to the implementation of performance-based evaluations identified in the implementation of the P5 Program. Observations and interviews with school principals, deputy principals, assessment teams and students regarding the implementation of the P5 Program. Based on the results of observations, data was found that the performance-based evaluation process implemented at SMP Negeri 1 Batang was carried out in several stages, namely determining project activities and objectives, designing performance tasks, determining assessment criteria, collecting performance data, assessment and analysis, as well as reflection and follow-up. It is important to emphasize to students that the main goal of this project is character education based on Pancasila. Don't let educators and students focus on the products produced and forget the process of Pancasila character education. Apart from the product being the goal, it is much more important to emphasize the Pancasila character for students so that this series of project activities can produce student characters that are based on Pancasila and can apply their knowledge and understanding in the real world in society.
