Abstract

The formation of student character through the lecture method at SDN 102116 aims to determine the lecture method in developing student character values. This study uses qualitative research with a descriptive field research type, the research data was obtained from interviews, observations and documentation. The data validity test in this study used combined triangulation. The results of the study show that: In learning using the lecture method, planning and learning steps are needed so that the learning runs optimally as expected. The steps are: Preparation or learning planning, Implementation of learning which includes initial activities, core activities, and final activities, and Evaluation. In developing character values in learning through the lecture method, it can shape the character of students. This is done in various ways, namely: through giving advice, role models, habits, and punishments. In the formation of student character through learning using the lecture method, there is relevance between theory and real life. Through learning, it can shape the character of students by providing a positive influence on student behavior by making habits and practicing them in everyday life. The obstacles faced in forming students' character are that there are students who do not want to obey the applicable regulations which can influence other students. In addition, the lack of parental support is an inhibiting factor in forming students' character.
