PERANAN KOMUNITAS PUSAT KAJIAN SEJARAH DAN PERADABAN DAERAH (PUSAKA SAPRAH) DALAM UPAYA PELESTARIAN CAGAR BUDAYA DI KABUPATEN SAMBAS

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the beginning of the establishment of the Pusaka Saprah community, how the role of the Center for Regional Studies and Civilization (Pusaka Saprah) community in efforts to preserve cultural heritage in Sambas Regency, and the efforts made by the Pusaka Saprah community in introducing cultural heritage to the community. This research method uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, with the aim of examining the preservation efforts made by the Pusaka Saprah community in preserving cultural heritage in Sambas Regency. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The Saprah Heritage Community was founded on October 28 2020 at Sebedang Lake, Sebawi District, then the Saprah Heritage Community became a foundation in October 2023, (2) the role of the Saprah Heritage Community is to compile and implement the programs it compiles and play an active role in the museum, (3) the Saprah Heritage Community's efforts in introducing cultural heritage are through social media and seminars and expeditions that directly involve the community. Various programs or activities carried out by Pusaka Saprah to introduce cultural heritage in Sambas include expeditions, initiators of museum schools, and serukal (local history seminars). The results obtained are the existence of curiosity and public concern for history and cultural heritage in their own area.
