EFEKTIVITAS BEBERAPA JENIS PESTISIDA NABATI UNTUK MENGENDALIKAN HAMA KUMBANG BERAS (Sitophilus oryzae) PADA DUA JENIS BERAS DI GUDANG BERAS BULOG MEDAN

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effectiveness of vegetable pesticides in controlling rice beetle pest and types of rice that are resistant to rice beetle attacks. The research was carried out at the Bulog Mustafa Rice Warehouse, Medan and at the Pest Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara from June 2021 to January 2022. The design used was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (Factorial CRD) consist of 2 factors, namely : the use of several types of vegetable pesticides (A0 = Control, A1 = Fragrant Lemongrass, A2 = Fragrant Pandan Leaves and A3 = Garlic) with the same dose of 7.5 g/treatment and the use of several types of rice (B1 = Premium Rice and B2 = Medium Rice) 3 times test. The results showed the application of various types of vegetable pesticides had a significant effect on the mortality of  S. oryzae at 2, 4 and 6 Day After Aplication (DAA). However, the use of several types of rice did not significantly affect the attack of  S. oryzae pest.
