Abstract

Cooking oil is one of the nine basic commodities which plays quite an important role in the Indonesian economy. Since the end of 2021, the increasing price and scarcity of cooking oil has become a problem that has emerged in Indonesia after the Covid-19 pandemic began to subside. The increase in prices and scarcity of cooking oil will affect the amount of cooking oil consumed after the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was conducted in Ogan Ilir Regency with 105 respondents consisting of household cooking oil consumers and fried food traders. Analysis to test the difference between the amount of cooking oil consumed before and after the price increase and scarcity of cooking oil uses the Dependent t-Test. The results  indicated that there were differences in the amount of cooking oil consumed by both household consumers and fried food traders in conditions before and after the price increase and shortage of cooking oil.
