Abstract

Lime is one of the horticultural commodities that has promising prospects in Indonesia. UD. Astuty is one of the lime distributors located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. UD. Astuty obtains its lime supply from farmers in various regions across Sulawesi Island. This study aims to analyze the supply chain mechanism and business income of lime at UD. Astuty in Makassar City. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative research, with sample selection determined using purposive sampling techniques. The results indicate that the supply chain mechanism operates through three main flows. The product flow moves from upstream to downstream, starting from farmers as the primary lime producers to final consumers. The information flow occurs bidirectionally, both from producers to consumers and vice versa. Meanwhile, the financial flow moves from downstream consumers to upstream lime producers. These three flows are interconnected and form a relatively effective supply chain system. Based on the business income analysis, the R/C Ratio is 1.30. This means that for every Rp 1.00 of cost incurred, the business generates revenue of Rp 1.30 (R/C Ratio > 1). Therefore, the lime business at UD. Astuty is considered profitable and feasible.
