Declaration of Publishing Ethics

Creative Research in Engineering (CERIE) is a peer-reviewed journal. This statement clarifies all parties' ethical behaviour in publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the editor-in-chief, the editorial board, the peer-reviewed, and the publisher. It refers to the COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Legal Standards for Publication

The peer-reviewed papers endorse the scientific method and reflect it. Therefore, it is necessary for all parties involved in the publishing act to agree on standards of expected ethical behaviour: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer, the publisher and society.

As publisher of CERIE, Lembaga Publikasi Ilmiah dan Penerbitan (LPIP) Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto takes its guardianship duties exceptionally seriously at all publication points, and we understand our ethical and other obligations. We remain committed to ensuring that ads, reprinting or additional commercial profits do not affect editorial decisions or control. 

Decisions on Publication

The editors of the CERIE journal are responsible for determining which papers will be submitted for publication. The evidence must always inform such decisions of the work in question and their relevance to researchers and readers. The editors can be directed by the editorial board's policies and limited by specific legal provisions that are then in place concerning libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editors may agree upon this decision with other editors or reviewers.

Privacy Policy

The editor and any editorial staff shall not reveal any details on the manuscript submitted to anyone other than the author, reviewers, prospective reviewers, other editorial advisors and the publisher, as necessary.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

This journal commits to maintaining the highest level of integrity in the content published. The contents published in this journal are peer-reviewed (single-blind). Unpublished information mentioned in the manuscript must not be included in the work of an editor without the authors' express written consent.

Authors' terms 

• Citing all related references and acknowledging financial support from funding agencies to ensure that they have contributed significantly to the research,
• Upon reasonable request, to maintain accurate records of the data associated with the manuscript submitted, and to provide or provide access to such data,
• To confirm that the manuscript submitted is not being considered or accepted elsewhere for publication.
• To recognize and cite sources in the submitted paper whose content overlaps.
• Providing the editor with a copy of any manuscript(s) submitted that might contain similar, closely related or overlapping content
• To ensure compliance with national, local and institutional laws and requirements for any studies involving human or animal subjects
• To confirm that approval was sought and obtained, if necessary, and to acquire written permission from human subjects and respect their privacy.

Reviewers' terms

• To review the manuscript in an objective and timely manner, inform the editor of an appropriate decision and maintain the articles' quality published in the journal.
• To preserve strict confidentiality of any information provided by the editor or author to the reviewer in the review process and to ensure that the manuscript is only for the eyes of the reviewer and that no copies are transmitted or kept.
• Inform the editor of suspected plagiarism or absence of relevant, unquoted published work.
