About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Islamadina : Jurnal Pemikiran Islam is a journal managed by the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (FAI UMP) ) under the publishing house of the Scientific Publication and Publishing Institute (LPIP) UMP, 2002 which published academic works focusing on the study of Islamic thought (social, cultural, political, and economic) that is progressive and enlightening. Writing can be the result of reflexive thinking and research.

Peer Review Process

  1. Islamdina: Jurnal Pemikiran Islam maintain the standards of peer review while increasing the efficiency of the process.
  2. The initial review process is at least 8 months.
  3. All research articles published in Islamdina: Jurnal Pemikiran Islam undergo full peer review, key characteristics of which are listed below:
    • All research articles are reviewed by at least two suitably qualified experts
    • All publication decisions are made by the journals’ Editors-in-Chief on the basis of the reviews provided 
    • All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism content. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking (please use Turnitin or iThenticate to check the similarity). Editors will also check the similarity of manuscripts in this journal by using a Turnitin or iThenticate software.
    • The submitted manuscripts to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least one or two expert reviewers from Peer-Reviewers Team. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Sometimes (if required) a third peer-reviewer is needed to give critical comments to the submitted manuscript. The review process used in this journal is a blind review system.
    • The final decision of manuscript acceptance is solely made by Editor in Chief and/or Regional/Associate (Handling) Editor (together with Editorial Board, if required) according to reviewers' critical comments. The final decision of the manuscript is solely based on the Editor's final review which considering peer-reviewers comments (but not solely by Reviewer).

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

This journal is open-access, which means that all content is freely available to users or institutions without charge.

Scientific Statement

Islamadina: Jurnal pemikiran Islam is a national scientific journal that prioritizes scientific publications based on scientific research and literature review, aiming to seek scientific novelty and creativity by studying Islamic thought. In carrying out scientific publications, Islamadina: Jurnal Pemikiran Islam applies appropriate publishing management articles, such as review and editing processes. The journal provides a platform for scientists and researchers in Indonesia.

Policy of Screening for Plagiarism

All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism content. All authors are advised to use plagiarism detection software to perform similarity checks. The editor checks for plagiarism detection of articles in this journal using iThenticate software.

Journal History

Journal of the National Islamadina Faculty of Islamic Religion UMP Published since 2002 with a periodic publication frequency of every six months (2 times per year) in March and June. As for the electronic edition, it starts in July 2014 regularly 2 times a year. In 2017, he received the latest Chancellor's Decree Number A.11.IV/14-S.Kep./UMP/I/2017. Until now, the Islamadina Journal has published articles from various institutions, from within and outside the University institutions.
