Uji Aktivitas Antioksidan dan Formulasi Ekstrak Etanol Daun Mangga Manalagi sebagai Emulgel Antiaging

Penuaan dini yang disebabkan radikal bebas hingga saat ini masih belum dapat teratasi. Penuaan dini ditandai dengan kulit yang rapuh karena menipis, menurunnya kemampuan regenerasi kulit, meningkatnya perkembangan berbagai gangguan kulit, dan munculnya efek estetis yang tidak diinginkan, seperti kerutan maupun pigmentasi yang tidak merata. Penuaan dini dapat dicegah dan diatasi dengan penggunaan antioksidan dari alam, salah satunya adalah daun mangga manalagi yang diformulasi menjadi emulgel. Emulgel merupakan gabungan gel dan emulsi sehingga dapat membawa senyawa-senyawa dalam ekstrak sesuai kelarutannya dan juga meningkatkan pelepasan dan penetrasi senyawa aktif ke dalam kulit. Penelitian ini menguji skrining fitokimia, kandungan flavonoid dan fenolik, serta aktivitas antioksidan DPPH ekstrak etanolik 70% daun mangga manalagi. Penelitian ini juga melakukan formulasi dan mengevaluasi mutu fisik (organoleptis, homogenitas, tipe emulsi, pH, viskositas, dan daya sebar) dari emulgel ekstrak daun mangga manalagi. Ekstrak daun mangga manalagi mengandung senyawa golongan flavonoid, saponin, tannin, triterpenoid, fenol, dan kuinon. Ekstrak daun mangga manalagi mengandung flavonoid sebanyak 29,893 mg QE/g dan fenolik sebanyak 181,068 mg GAE/g ekstrak, serta aktivitas antioksidan (IC50) sebesar 10,27 ppm. Hasil evaluasi fisik menunjukkan organoleptis dan homogenitas sediaan yang baik, tipe emulsi M/A, pH, viskositas, dan daya sebar yang memenuhi syarat. Evaluasi fisik emulgel menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan ekstrak dalam emulgel menyebabkan penurunan pH, viskositas, dan daya lekat sediaan, namun meningkatkan daya sebar sediaan.
