ABSTRACT Analysis of lead heavy metal contamination was studied on the sample from Pure Water of Guci Mountain, Tegal Regency, Central Java. This analysis used Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry method with wet destruction. The measuring used wave length 283 nm.The Validation of the method were accurate test, precission test, and linearity test. The result are linearity test (r = 0.9971), precission test (RSD = 3.89%), and accuration test (Recovery P% = 93.12). Based of the result so that the analysis with these method were qualified. Limit of detection are 0.104 ppm and Limit of Quantition are 0.347 ppm.Based on those validation, sample bought from the place that was many vahicles in Guci Mountain, Tegal Regency, Central Java contained the heavy metal over The Standar National Indonesia. The Contaminant were sample A 0.50 ppm, sample B 0.43 ppm, sample D 0.56 ppm. The quantity of sample C and E have not been determinated well because they were less than Limit of Quantitation.
