Identifikasi Asam Mefenamat Dalam Jamu Rematik Yang Beredar Di Distrik Heram Kota Jayapura, Papua
Abstract
ABSTRAK Jamu merupakan sediaan tradisional yang berasal dari bahan tumbuhan, hewan, mineral, sediaan galenik, atau campuran dari bahan-bahan tersebut yang telah digunakan secara turun-temurun untuk tujuan pengobatan. Asam mefenamat adalah obat antiinflamasi nonsteroid (OAINS) yang merupakan turunan antranilat. Rumus kimia asam mefenamat adalah C15H15NO2 dan mengandung tidak kurang dari 98,0% dan tidak lebih dari 102,0% C15H15NO2 dihitung berdasarkan bobot kering senyawanya. Asam mefenamat merupakan obat analgesik dan antiinflamasi. Analgesik merupakan obat yang digunakan untuk mengurangi rasa sakit dengan mekanisme meningkatkan ambang batas nyeri pada susunann syaraf pusat tanpa mempengaruhi keasadaran, sedangkan antiinflamasi adalah obat yang digunakan untuk mengobati inflamasi. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif. Obyek penelitian ini adalah jamu rematik yang beredar di Distrik Heram. Jamu rematik diperoleh dari toko-toko jamu yang berada di Distrik Heram. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi asam mefenamat dalam jamu rematik adalah Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT). Semua sampel jamu yang dianalisis negatif tidak mengandung asam mefenamat. Nilai Rf diidentifikasi pada berbagai kombinasi fase gerak. Fase gerak etil asetat : metanol : amonia memberikan bercak dengan nilai Rf 0,90; 0,16; dan 0,37 masing-masing untuk sampel 1, sampel 2, dan pembanding asam mefenamat. Fase gerak kloroform : metanol memberikan bercak dengan nilai Rf 0,34; 0,87; dan 0,94; masing masing untuk sampel 1, sampel 2, dan pembanding asam mefenamat. Fase gerak sikloheksana : kloroform : metanol : asam asetat glasial memberikan bercak dengan nilai Rf 0,67; 0,86; dan 0,40, masing-masing untuk sampel 1, sampel 2, dan pembanding asam mefenamat. ABSTRACT Jamu is a traditional ingredient or ingredients in the form of plant material, animal, mineral materials, preparation sarian (galenik) or mixtures of these materials that have been used for generations to treatment based on experience. Mefenamic acid is one of the drugs known as NSAIDs (Non-steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs), which is a derivative antranilat. Mefenamic acid has the chemical formula C15H15NO2 and contains not less than 98.0% and not more than 102.0% C15H15NO2, calculated on the dried substance. Mefenamic acid is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs. Analgesics are drugs to relieve pain by increasing the pain threshold in the central nervous system without pressing consciousness, while the anti-inflammatory is a drug used to treat inflammation. This research is a descriptive survey. Object of this study is herbal preparation for rheumatic circulating in Heram District. Rheumatic jamu were obtained from herbal stores located in the District of Heram. Identification of mefenamic acid, in rheumatic jamu used Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) method. All The sampel analized did not contain mefenamic Acid. The Rf value of the spots in each variation of mobile phase were observed. Mobile phase ethyl acetate: methanol: ammonia gave Rf value of 0.90; 0.16; and 0.37 for sample 1, sample 2, and mefenamic acid standart, respectively. Mobile phase chloroform : methanol gave Rf value of 0.34; 0.87; and 0.94 for sample 1, sample 2, and mefenamic acid standart. Mobile phase cyclohexane : chloroform: methanol: glassial acetic acid gave Rf value of 0.67; 0.86; 0.40 for sample 1, sample 2, and mefenamic acid standar, respectively.
