Alphamath: Journal of Mathematics Education is a peer-reviewed academic journal in the field of mathematics education, committed to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity, transparency, and scholarly excellence. To support the sustainability of open-access publishing, the journal may accept advertising that aligns with its mission, vision, and academic objectives.

This Advertising Policy outlines the principles, standards, and procedures governing the acceptance, display, and management of advertisements within the journal's digital platforms, including the journal website, newsletters, and other communication channels.

 

Scope of Advertising

Advertisements considered for publication must meet the following criteria:

 
  1. Relevance: Advertising content must be directly relevant to the field of mathematics education, educational technology, pedagogy, curriculum development, assessment, and academic research.
  2. Educational and Academic Integrity: Ads promoting products, services, conferences, or institutions must demonstrate a clear contribution to advancing scholarly work or professional development in mathematics education.
  3. Compliance with Ethics: Advertising must comply with ethical, legal, and professional standards and must not conflict with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines or the journal’s editorial policies.

 

Review and Approval Process

Submission of Advertising Request
Advertisers must submit their request to the Editorial Office at least four weeks prior to the intended publication date. Requests should include:

 
  1. Advertisement content (text, images, videos, or links)
  2. Target placement within the journal's platforms
  3. Intended duration of display

Editorial Review

 
  1. The Managing Editor and Editorial Board will review all advertising requests.
  2. Ads will be assessed for academic relevance, appropriateness, and compliance with journal standards.
  3. The journal reserves the right to reject, remove, or request modifications to any advertisement that does not comply with this policy.

 

Editorial Independence

 
  1. The acceptance or rejection of advertisements does not influence editorial decisions regarding manuscript review, acceptance, or publication.
  2. Advertisers have no influence on the peer-review process, editorial decisions, or published content.
  3. All advertisements are clearly distinguished from editorial content to avoid potential conflicts of interest.

 

Prohibited Content

Alphamath will not accept advertising that contains or promotes:

 
  1. Plagiarism, falsification, or other forms of academic misconduct
  2. Misleading, false, or unsubstantiated claims
  3. Content unrelated to mathematics education or scholarly work
  4. Political, religious, or discriminatory material
  5. Content violating applicable laws or ethical publishing standards

 

Transparency and Disclosure

 
  1. All advertisements will be visibly labeled as "Advertisement" to distinguish them from academic content.
  2. Sponsorships and partnerships will be disclosed transparently in compliance with ethical publishing practices.
  3. Financial arrangements related to advertising will be handled separately from editorial processes.

 

Liability and Responsibility

 
  1. The Alphamath is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or content of any advertisement.
  2. Advertisers are solely responsible for the claims made in their materials and must ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

 

Policy Review and Updates

This Advertising Policy is reviewed annually by the Editorial Board.
