Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa MTs Negeri Bojong pada materi statistika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas kelas VII C MTs Negeri Bojong pada tahun pelajaran 2014/ 2015. Data diambil menggunakan tes uraian kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan wawancara untuk mendapatkan informasi yang mendalam sehingga diperoleh gambaran kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) siswa pada kelompok rendah hanya mampu menafsirkan suatu persoalan secara sederhana; 2) siswa pada kelompok sedang sudah mampu menyatakan persoalan dalam bentuk tabel maupun diagram serta sudah dapat menafsirkan suatu persoalan secara sederhana; 3) siswa pada kelompok tinggi sudah mampu menyatakan persoalan dalam bentuk tabel maupun diagram dan menafsirkan suatu persoalan secara kompleks.Kata Kunci : Kemampuan komunikasi Matematis, Statistika
