Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan metode permainan matematika pada pembelajaran matematika. (2) Untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar matematika mahasiswa setelah menggunakan metode permainan matematika. (3) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode permainan matematika terhadap motivasi belajar matematika mahasiswa pada materi Teori Bilangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester II Prodi Tadris Matematika Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.
Penelitian ini mengambil populasi seluruh mahasiswa mata kuliah Teori Bilangan, sedangkan pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel kelas secara acak dan didapat kelas A yang berjumlah 41 mahasiswa. Adapun untuk analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan pengujian hipotesis.
Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, diketahui bahwa penggunaan metode permainan matematika termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 76,4%, motivasi belajar sebelum (Pre-Test) kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 74,32% dan motivasi belajar matematika mahasiswa sesudah (Post- test) kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 78,90%. Hasil ini menunjukkan nilai t sebesar 101.293 dengan signifikansi 0,000. Dengan nilai signifikansi yang lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka berarti hipotesis penelitian diterima. Artinya rata-rata motivasi belajar matematika mahasiswa sesudah diberi perlakuan lebih besar dari pada rata-rata motivasi mahasiswa dalam belajar matematika sebelum diberi perlakuan.
