Abstract

There are 6 dimensions in the Pancasila student profile, one of which is critical thinking. This dimension is related to the achievement of science learning. There is an assumption that critical thinking skills in students will increase if combined with the right learning model and media. Problem-based learning has a syntax that supports the stimulation of students' critical thinking skills. Educaplay can be an alternative media that is suitable to collaborate with the PBL model to improve critical thinking skills. This research is a classroom action research conducted following the Kemmis and McTaggart research procedures. The target of the research was grade IV students. The data collection technique was carried out using non-test questions, especially observation. Then data analized by Microsoft excel 2013. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the PBL model based on educaplay can improve students' critical thinking skills. There was an increase in the average percentage from the implementation of cycle I and cycle II, reaching 84% > 80%. Teachers can utilize educaplay-based PBL to conduct science learning so that students' critical thinking skills can increase.
