Abstract

Donokerto has great potential in the tourism sector, but the lack of English competence among the productive age population results in the inability to properly serve local and foreign tourists. Therefore, it is proposed the establishment of Tourism Corner to provide English for Tourism training, Professional Corner program as a certified tour guide training through partnership with LSP Jana Dharma, Marketing Corner program to improve the marketing of the tourism sector in collaboration with the Association of The Indonesian Tours And Travel Agencies (ASITA), English for Future Leaders program and English Club for the development of English language skills among students and youth. The purpose of this activity is to strengthen the Donokerto community, enabling it to manage tourism potential professionally and sustainably, and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The DELIMA ABANG (Desa Lebih Maju Berbahasa English) program was carried out through surveys, socialization, and English practice classes from July to October 2024 using lectures, case studies, Q&A sessions, and simulations. The results showed improvements in communication, service, English proficiency, and professionalism in the tourism sector, the awarding of tour guide certifications, increased understanding of business marketing, and enhanced English skills among students and youth in Donokerto. The program was deemed successful in enhancing the local community's human resource capacity.
