Verifikasi Kinerja Alat Automatic Weather System (AWS) dan Termometer Digital terhadap Observasi Manual di Stasiun Klimatologi Palembang

Peralatan pengamatan meteorologi otomatis telah banyak digunakan untuk menggantikan peralatan pengamatan manual. Hal tersebut berkaitan dengan kemampuan peralatan otomatis dalam meningkatkan resolusi temporal dan kerapatan jaringan pengamatan. Akan tetapi, penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan adanya hasil yang beragam terkait kemampuan peralatan pengamatan otomatis dalam merepresentasikan kondisi meteorologi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan AWS dan termometer digital dalam merepresentasikan data suhu udara dan curah hujan di Stasiun Klimatologi Palembang. Data yang digunakan merupakan data harian pada bulan Agustus dan Desember 2021. Hasil analisis time series, korelasi pearson, dan analisis eror menunjukkan AWS dapat merepresentasikan data observasi lebih baik dibanding termometer digital. Berdasarkan lima parameter suhu udara yang diuji, suhu udara minimum menunjukkan simpangan yang paling tinggi. Sementara itu, data curah hujan menunjukkan adanya simpangan acak yang meliputi kondisi overvalues, undervalues, dan pengukuran curah hujan saat tidak terjadi hujan. Simpangan curah hujan menunjukkan nilai yang lebih tinggi di Bulan Desember.
