Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Development (STAD) pada siswa kelas XI TKJ SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. Tahapan pembelajaran STAD yaitu presentasi kelas, diskusi kelompok, kuis (tes), dan penghargaan kelompok. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek siswa kelas XI TKJ SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. Tahapan dalam penelitian ada empat yaitu: perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan tindakan (action), pengamatan (observation), dan refleksi (reflection). Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, tes hasil belajar dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Pada siklus II rata-rata persentase penguasaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa mencapai lebih dari 60%. Ditinjau dari rata-rata, hasil belajar juga meningkat dari siklus pertama ke siklus kedua. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata 73,82 dan persentase yang mencapai KKM sebesar 40,91%. Sedangkan pada siklus II 80,73 dan persentase siswa yang mencapai KKM sebesar 77,27%. Persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus kedua mencapai lebih dari 80% yaitu sebesar 86,67%.Kata Kunci: Students Teams Achievement Development (STAD), pemecahan masalah matematis, hasil belajar
