- We ensure that all published articles are original, ethically sound, and contribute meaningfully to the field of mathematics education.
- Research involving human participants (e.g., teachers, students) must comply with relevant ethical standards and include evidence of institutional ethics approval where required.

| B. Authors’ Responsibilities |

- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must submit original works free from plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin). The acceptable similarity index is ≤20%. More details can be seen in the plagiarism policy
- Data Integrity: Authors must present accurate, verifiable data and be prepared to provide supporting datasets upon request.
- Multiple Submissions: Manuscripts must not be under review elsewhere or published previously.
- Authorship: All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research. Use of generative AI must be disclosed, but AI cannot be credited as an author. More details can be seen in the Generative AI Policy.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper citation of all relevant works is mandatory.
- Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts that could influence their research.
- Ethics Approval: Research involving human participants must include a statement of ethics approval or informed consent.

| C. Reviewers’ Responsibilities |

- Confidentiality: All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents.
- Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted impartially, providing constructive, evidence-based feedback.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline assignments where personal or professional conflicts exist.
- Plagiarism and Misconduct: Reviewers should inform editors of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices.

| D. Publisher’s Responsibilities |

- The publisher safeguards the editorial independence of the journal.
- AlphaMath ensures the long-term preservation of published content through digital archiving systems (LOCKSS). More details can be seen in Archiving.
- In cases of proven misconduct, AlphaMath follows COPE-recommended procedures for retractions, corrections, and expressions of concern.

E. Allegations of Research Misconduct
AlphaMath defines research misconduct as including, but not limited to, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, citation manipulation, and peer-review manipulation in producing, reviewing, or reporting research. When allegations of misconduct arise:

- The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board will conduct an initial assessment following COPE Core Practices.
- The corresponding author will be contacted and requested to provide a detailed response.
- If misconduct is confirmed:
- Before publication: the manuscript will be rejected.
- After publication: the journal will issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction, in accordance with the Retraction, Withdrawal, and Correction (R-W-C) Policy. More details can be seen in the Retraction, Withdrawal, & Correction (R-W-C) Policy
- Where necessary, the journal will coordinate with authors’ institutions to ensure a thorough and transparent investigation.

F. Complaints and Appeals AlphaMath provides a clear mechanism for handling complaints and appeals regarding editorial processes, peer-review, or publication ethics.

- Complaints should be submitted in writing to the Editor-in-Chief.
- All complaints will be handled confidentially and in accordance with COPE guidelines.
- Authors may appeal editorial decisions by providing a detailed justification, which will be reviewed by the Editorial Board or independent experts not involved in the original decision.
