Abstract

This community service aims to build inclusive learning opportunities through the implementation of differentiated instruction in elementary school. Differentiated instruction is a pedagogical approach that recognizes the diversity of students' abilities, interests, and learning styles, aiming to provide an optimal learning experience for each individual. This activity was conducted in learning groups in Banyumas Regency, involving 40 elementary school teachers as training participants. This is the first workshop in a series of workshops and mentoring sessions. Through this initial workshop, teachers gained an understanding of the philosophical foundations, basic concepts, and conducive prerequisites for implementing differentiated instruction in their classrooms. The participants' responses were very positive, with many questions raised that sparked deeper discussions on differentiated instruction. This activity will continue with a second workshop and mentoring sessions for the participants as they implement differentiated instruction in their classes. This community service is expected to serve as a model for teacher professional development to create an equitable and fair learning environment for all students.
