Abstract

SMPN 2 Baturraden is a junior high school located in Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency, with a strong commitment to improving the quality of education through the utilization of technology. In October 2024, teachers at SMPN 2 Baturraden participated in a training program focused on developing teaching materials using Generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT and other AI-based tools. The training aimed to enhance teachers’ ability to create more effective and interactive teaching materials. This training adopted a generative AI-based approach, enabling teachers to develop dynamic materials that can be easily tailored to students' needs. The main focus areas included the creation of AI-assisted text-based materials, image-based content, and interactive learning resources that can be applied across various subjects. By integrating AI into the teaching process, teachers are expected to work more efficiently, foster greater student engagement, and accelerate the development of high-quality educational content. The training activities were carried out in three stages: needs analysis, training implementation, and evaluation. This program provided long-term benefits for educators by improving their digital literacy skills and supporting national education policies in facing the digital era. Participant satisfaction surveys showed a very high level of satisfaction, with 86% rating the training as highly satisfactory.
