Hubungan antara Pengetahuan Pasien terhadap Terapi Komplementer dengan Luaran Terapi pada Pasien Hipertensi Di Beberapa Puskesmas Area Kota Yogyakarta

Prevalensi kejadian hipertensi diketahui tinggi pada negara dengan pendapatan rendah dan menengah seperti Indonesia. Dengan berbagai alasan tertentu, beberapa orang lebih memilih menggunakan pengobatan tradisional sebagai terapi komplementer yang dikombinasi dengan terapi konvensional. Pengetahuan terhadap pengobatan tradisional merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi seseorang untuk memilih pengobatan yang sesuai dan memiliki kontribusi pada luaran terapinya. Tujuan dari penelitian cross-sectional ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan pasien mengenai pengobatan tradisional dengan luaran terapi (berupa tekanan darah) pada pasien hipertensi dari beberapa puskesmas di Yogyakarta. Kuisioner yang digunakan meliputi 20 item pertanyaan yang digunakan untuk menilai pengetahuan pasien. Penelitian ini melibatkan 116 pasien yang telah didiagnosa mengalami hipertensi dan menggunakan kombinasi terapi tradisional dan konvensional. Karakteristik pasien pada penelitian ini banyak yang geriatri (43.10%), perempuan (67.24%), status menikah (79.31%), dan menggunakan mentimun (44%) atau seledri (25%) untuk pengobatan tradional yang dikombinasikan dengan terapi konvensional. Pengetahuan pasien terhadap pengobatan tradisional termasuk tinggi (63.8%), selain itu banyak juga pasien yang memiliki tekanan darah yang terkontrol (56.9%). Namun berdasarkan perhitungan statistik, diketahui tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan pasien terhadap pengobatan tradisional dengan luaran terapi (p>0.05).
