Pengaruh Pemberian Pakan Alami yang Berbeda terhadap Pertumbuhan Ikan Cupang (Ctenops vittatus)

Ikang cupang (Ctenops vittatus) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan hias yang popular di kalangan masyarakat pada umumnya. Warna yang menarik dan cerah pada ikan cupang menjadi daya tarik utama, khususnya bagi penggemar ikan hias, namun pertumbuhannya relative lambat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan alami; cacing Tubifex, jentik nyamuk, dan kutu air (Daphnia. sp.) dan kontrol (pellet) terhadap pertumbuhan ikan cupang. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan, dan 4 kali ulangan selama 50 hari. Parameter yang diamati meliputi berat dan panjang mutlak, laju pertumbuhan harian, nilai konversi dan efisiensi pakan serta sintasan. Hasil penelitian membuktikan, ikan cupang yang diberi pakan alami cacing Tubifex menghasilkan pertumbuhan yang signifikan dan optimal kemudian diikuti oleh jentik nyamuk, kutu air dan pakan pellet, namun tidak signifikan terhadap sintasan. Pada pemberian cacing Tubifex dihasilkan nilai optimal pada pertambahan berat (WG) 0.59 g, pertambahan panjang (LG) 2.04 cm, konversi pakan (FCR) 1.58, efisien pakan (EP) 63.36%, dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik (SGR) 2.73. Hal ini menunjukkan pemberian pakan alami untuk pertumbuhan ikan cupang berpotensi untuk diterapkan pada pembudidaya ikan hias cupang.
